Secrets of Golden Gate Park: A Celebration at the Conservatory

Come celebrate Golden Gate Park and the new book about the park!

Together with the Gardens of Golden Gate Park, Marta Lindsey and Nancy Botkin will host a special celebration for the park and their just-released book: 'Discovering Golden Gate Park: A Local's Guide.'

Join fellow park-lovers for a wide-ranging conversation with stories, surprises, and secrets of Golden Gate Park hosted by Laura Klivans from KQED. There will also be park trivia and chances to win prizes.

  • Panel featuring park experts Marta Lindsey, Nancy Botkin, & Susan Freinkel of 1,017 Acres: Life in the Park.

  • Special guests from the Western Neighborhoods Project, Shaping SF, Illuminate, plus David Miles, Jr. and more

Discovering Golden Gate Park: A Local’s Guide will be available for purchase from West Portal Bookshop, and you can get your copy signed before or after the event.

This event is free and open to the public. Arrive early to ensure a seat. This will be held on the lawn directly abutting the Conservatory of Flowers building.
